Those of you who were not able to make it to this past Saturday's Hip Hop tryout, there will be another one this Thursday, February 6th at the Student Union Room 145B. The tryout will start promptly at 9:30pm. Please be on time. Please note this will be the last and final tryout for Hip Out. We will be able to determine who our performers will be for Hip Hop after this Thursday.
There will also be a tryout for 2 MC positions this Thursday at the same time and place mentioned above as well. Please note that if you are interested in trying out, you will need to come prepared with an
opening for the show. You will be performing privately in front of the CSA e-board.
Solo Singing/ Duet tryouts will on Tuesday, February 11, 8pm at the Student Union Room 145E. Please come prepared with a song to sing.
Contact us ahead of time if you have a problem with the times.
If there is anyone who knows how to perform the Lion Dance, please also contact us.

Details:
The format of the tournament will be based on a scoring system. Each driver will participate in a minimum of 4 races with 6 drivers competing in each race. Scoring will be as follows:
1st place - 10 pts
2nd place - 8 pts
3rd place - 6 pts
4th place - 4 pts
5th place - 2 pts
6th place - 0 pts
At the end of the 4th race, the highest ranking 18 drivers will continue on to the next portion of the tournament. Though scores will be reset, points will determine pole position.
The 18 drivers will compete in a total of 3 events, which will then determine the final 6 drivers for the championship run. Again, scores will be reset, though points will determine pole position in the final event.
All events will be 3 laps on randomly chosen tracks. Tracks will be announced prior to car selection. Races will occur in Arcade mode. No cars may be chosen from any individual's garages, however drivers may choose any car they would like to race with. Any settings / modifications /configurations must be available to all drivers. All events must be played only with a OEM Sony PS2 Dual Shock 2 controller. | | |
